AV products work by microbial inoculation. This is the process whereby a diverse range of microorganisms, (e.g., gram positive – gram negative bacteria and fungi) are applied to plant/soil to colonise and live in a symbiotic relationship with the plant.

Within the colony, these microorganisms all play a role to survive. These microbes often have a symbiotic relationship, a win - win where the microbe feeds on the plant while the plant feeds from the microbes by means of nutrient. This why we often see an increase in plant vigour or plant health or often a more consistently sized yield due to the plant taking up a greater percentage of nutrient because it is made available in a fixed environment.

In Addition, nitrates are converted into their non-leachable form - nitrates remain in the plant root zone, preventing leaching into ground water as nitrogen. Soil quality is enhanced as the micro-organisms effectively and efficiently degrade pollutants. PH and soil electrical conductivity becomes balanced to optimize nutrient availability. Reduced use of fungicides and pesticides enables a healthy soil food web creating a stronger crop that can help suppress and resist disease causing organisms getting to the plant. By unlocking the natural nutrients within the soil, it provides a substantial increase in the phytonutrients in foods, improving crop quality.
