Pastures

Australian Vermiculture biologicals can be used in effective ways to aid in increasing the health and performance of pastures. Products can be used both in managing existing pastures as well as in the renovation of new pastures.

In pastures, soil health is important to manage a range of issues on farm that are both related to the crops and the soil growing the crops but also to the overall health and well-being of the livestock.

AV biologicals can be used in treating new seed as an inoculant prior to planting, to ensure that there is high levels of microbial activity on the seed through the germination process. Similar to broadacre production systems, this process contributes to the health of the plant over the course of its growth and reproductive cycles through the function of a symbiotic relationship between the microbes in the rhizosphere and the plant. AV’s worm derived biological liquid ‘ProGro’ can also be used to supplement nutrients and stimulate plant growth through plant hormones that regulate both vegetive and root growth throughout the course of the growing season.

Australian Vermiculture’s worm casting pellet ProPell can also be used in pasture production systems, particularly in problematic areas low in soil organic carbon and biological activity. The product is advantageous in sandy areas with low organic matter and can be used to stimulate biological activity in existing pastures.

Our Range

ProPell

ProPell is a unique nutrient and biologically rich dry fertiliser in bioavailable form. It is a compressed form of pure worm castings. Worm castings have been produced into a powerful pellet form to make for ease of use and consistency in application.

ProGro

ProGro is a unique nutrient and biologically rich liquid fertiliser in a bioavailable form. It has been developed to provide both microorganisms and organic nutrients to feed and sustain the development of a healthy soil food microbiome once applied.

ProCast

powder form of pure worm castings. ProCast has been developed to enable more effective application on seed as an inoculant prior to planting. This ensures that once applied, the seed can be supported with adequate levels of carbon and microbes to support the germination process.
