Benefits

Nutrient Availability

optimal forms in the right place at the right time
Australian Vermiculture biologicals colonisation process gives the added benefit of faster and more efficient nutrient uptake capabilities. This means that nutrients applied by way of fertiliser are effectively immobilised and mineralised as the plant requires. In a fixed environment, this means nutrients such as phosphorous are unlocked in fixed soils where mineralisation percentages are often low.

Abnormal Pressure

Often in over worked soils we see imbalances, these imbalances can be a simple as acidic/alkaline soil or as complex as a nematode feeding off the exudates on your plants roots, restricting root growth limiting plant production. AV Pro’s process of inoculation includes a range of free living nematodes included to evenly populate the soil minimising the impact of pathogenic nematodes like root knot, spiral or stubby root nematodes.

How does it protect?

Within the colony, not only do plants and microorganisms feed from each other, they also protect each other, bad fungi - Pythium, Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium – thrive in anaerobic soil conditions – with a healthy range of bacteria within the colony – anaerobic fungi become overwhelmed and become suppressed. This is why by incorporating AV products into your program we can minimise the amount of fungicide we need to manage plant-based disease. For tuber-based crops this means a cleaner smoother produce with less pressure from blemish-based diseases like; blight or cavity spot.

less watering needed and significantly reduces your dependence on traditional fertilisers

Application & Rates

ProGro is diluted to your normal water rates per hectare. Application rates vary on crop, irrigation type, plant density per hectare, current soil condition and rainfall. Rates for regenerative and organic practices may need to be adjusted. Discuss your specific requirements with your distributor or with Australian Vermiculture. Refer to table below as a guide;

Storage and Handling Instructions: Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Handle with care, clean any spillages and wash off immediately. ProGro is rich in its biology food web. During storage aerate for 10 minutes per week.

Foliar Application

Crop Rate ltrs/ha Comments
Horticulture, Vines, Vegetables, Tree - Fruit & Nut 5 - 7 Apply as part of a nutrient foliar program every 14 - 21 days. Can be applied prior to whether extremes as a protectant.
Broad Acre - Grasses & Dicots 9 - 12 Apply at 3 - 5 leaf stage. Apply again at late tillering in week areas.
Pastures 15 - 20 Apply after grazing. no withholding period.

Fertigation / Direct Inject

Crop Rate Comments
Horticulture, Vines, Vegetables, Tree - Fruit & Nut 15 - 20 Apply to plants at the recommencement of their reporductive phase. Four to six applications for optimum results
Broad Acre - Grasses & Dicots 10 - 15 Apply via direct injection at sowing.
Pastures 15 - 20 Apply via fertigation every 4 - 6 weeks. No withholding period.

Specifications

Formulation

Liquid vermiculture derived constituents and associated
bio-stimulants

Application area

Apply as a foliar spray. Apply product to the soil to provide an inoculation of active microorganisms or as a foliar spray

Application method

Apply products to soil through band or broadcasts spreaders. Apply liquid through drip, sprinkler irrigation or sprayer. ProGro is screened to 80 micron and under.

Irrigation

Minimise heavy irrigation of the root zone in the first five to seven days to mitigate leaching of spores and active organisms’ pre-colonisation

Timing

Optimum timing in short crops is at planting and within fourteen days post plant. Annual crops at significant root flush events

Colonisation

Colonisation is completed in the first
48 – 72 hours

Accumulation

Optimum levels of both biological populations and activity can be measured through soil tests. Applying at root flushes and establishment ensures effective colonisation

Microbial food

Pro biologicals are tailored with specific feed stocks to sustain development and activity in the rhizosphere. No additional feed applications are necessary

UV breakdown

Some biological groups are susceptible to ultraviolet breakdown. Soil based applications should be incorporated by cultivation or irrigation

Compatibility

Pro biologicals are compatible with most fungicides, pesticides and herbicides except for Group B herbicides

Withholding

No withholding periods
